6:30pm-7:30pm: Drama Club
Drama Club is designed with the shake-a-tail-feather-dancer in mind – specializing in 60s soul and 70s funk…songs not normally tackled by other Tucson cover bands – including works by Etta James, Koko Taylor, Ike & Tina Turner, Joan Osborne, Stevie Nicks and Rare Earth, just to name a few.

7:45pm-9:00pm: Leila Lopez
“The songs, while being what one might ostensibly refer to as folk music, balance assertiveness and sensitivity, navigate lyrics both oblique and frank, and incorporate the influences of jazz and rock.” Tucson Weekly (Gene Armstrong)

9:15pm-10:30pm: Sand Rubies
“Straightforward rock with a bit of desert twang and pop hooks, and, as much as anyone, was responsible for the invention of the genre known as desert rock…Inducted into the Tucson Weekly’s Tucson Music Hall of Fame in 2008.” Tucson Weekly (Stephen Seigel)

STREET PERFORMANCES

7-Pipers Band kicks off the fun with a meandering performance that starts at 5:30pm by the Fox Theatre, travels along the south side of Congress Street, performs for a bit at the empty lot on Congress between Stone and Scott Avenues, and will continue along Congress Street and finish up outside of the Rialto Theatre.
